Two more large STACK wells reported in Blaine county

Two more large oil wells have been reported in Blaine County’s STACK play in the state.

Continental Resources of Oklahoma City filed a completion report this week showing the Til 2-27hm well located about 4 miles northeast of the community of Greenfield had initial production of 1,577 barrels of oil a day along with 7,512 Mcf of natural gas.

The well is located at 27 15N 11W and had a spud date of May 2018. Drilling ended in July 2018 and the completion was made Sept. 20, 2018.

The second large well reported in Blaine County was drilled by Marathon Oil, the company based n Houston. The Irven John 1710 3-34-27mxh had initial production of 1,546 barrels of oil a day along with natural gas production of 2,554 Mcf.

The report indicated the well is located at 3 16N 10W or about midway between Watonga and Kingfisher and 4 miles north of state highway 33.

The well was drilled nearly a year ago with a Feb. 10, 2018 spud date. Drilling finished in March and completion was made July 27, 2018 according to the report.
