Trash hauler cited as environmental leader

Those Waste Management garbage trucks you see on the streets of cities in Oklahoma are part of a company that has earned an “A” grade from the environmental non-profit CDP.

The grade was earned for the depth and quality of climate change data the company discloses to investors and the global marketplace.

CDP or Carbon Disclosure Project released its 2018 Climate A List and Waste Management was identified as a leader in efforts to combat climate change.

The rating acknowledges the company’s actions to cut emissions, mitigate climate risks and develop the low-carbon economy in the past CDP reporting year.

Waste Management has been included in CDP’s survey results since 2004, and this is the third year in a row that Waste Management has achieved a position on CDP’s Climate A List. The Climate A List and full company scores are available on CDP’s website: CDP 2018 Scores.
