Demolition set to begin in April on OGE Data Center in OKC

Plans call for the demolition of Oklahoma Gas Electric Company’s Energy data center in Oklahoma City sometime in April. The building at SW 5 and E.K. Gaylord will be destroyed as part of Oklahoma City’s plans to build a new convention center as well as 17-story, 605-room Omni hotel.

A 865-space garage will replace the site of the Energy center.

OGE wll turn the building over to the city sometime in March and the city will start with demolition.

Work on the garage is set to begin in the summer.
