Cheniere moves to get county approvals for $1 billion natural gas line

Houston’s Cheniere Energy, Inc., the firm building a $1 billion natural gas line across Oklahoma plans to release its fourth quarter earnings report in February.

The Company will release the report on Tuesday, Feb. 26 before the opening of the market. Management leaders will then host a conference call for investors and analysts later that day at 9 a.m. central Time.

Considered a leading producer and exporter of liquefied natural gas in the U.S., Cheniere is in the process of building the nearly 200-mile Midship pipeline to carry natural gas out of Oklahoma’s STACK and SCOOP plays to a connecting line near the border with Texas.

Canadian County commissioners voted this month to approve dozens of permits for the line to cross roads. The line begins in Kingfisher County and will cross Canadian, Grady, Garvin, Stephens, carter, Johnston and Bryan counties.

Once completed, the 36-inch transmission line will be capable of transporting 1.44 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day to a metering station east of Durant. Then it will be moved to the Gulf of Mexico.

Cheniere hopes to finish the project later this year.
