Another Blaine county success for Marathon Oil

With lower oil prices, it seems there haven’t been as many completion reports filed with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. Still, there are reports of success in the STACK play.

A report filed on Monday by Marathon Oil Company showed a Blaine County well had initial production of 1,350 barrels of oil a day along with 2,307 Mcf of gas.

The Irven John 1710 2-34-27mxh well is located midway between Watonga and Kingfisher and 4 miles north of state highway 33 and 4 miles southwest of the Lomega High School.

The well had a spud date in April 2018 and drilling was finished in the same month. Completion was made in July 2018.
