Appeals Court rules against Colorado energy staffing firm

A Colorado based Energy staffing firm that sued two former employees and one of its competitors has failed to get a win in the Denver Federal Appeals Court.

The Tenth U.S. District Court has ruled against DTC Energy Group, Inc. based in Westminster, Colorado. The firm sued Ally Consulting, LLC and two former DTC employees, Adam Hirschfeld and Joseph Galban accusing them of using DTC’s trade secrets to divert business from DTC to Ally.

A lower district court ruled against DTC’s request for a preliminary hearing stating that the company could not show the “ongoing solicitation violated Hirschfeld’s employment agreement.”

DTC is a staffing company that serves as the middleman between oil and gas companies looking for workers and workers who are looking for jobs.
