Tulsa sees big jump in airport use

Tulsa International Airport saw its busiest September in 11 years as a total of 120,448 passengers boarded planes. It surpassed the 2008 September when enplanements were 115,400.

The airport reported passenger volume was up 12 percent compared to September 2017 according to a report in the Tulsa World.

“Airlines have continued to invest in Tulsa by adding routes and additional seats,” Tulsa International Airport CEO Mark VanLoh said. “When travelers utilize our service and choose to fly from Tulsa, airlines will continue to provide additional capacity to our market.”

The airport is served by seven air carriers providing flights to and from 22 airports in the U.S.  The number of passengers who have traveled through the airport so far this year is up 6.8 percent over 2017 when 2.8 million passengers flew from the airport.
