STACK and SCOOP plays keep on giving

One of the largest wells reported this week in Oklahoma’s STACK saw production of more than 1,400 barrels of oil a day.

The Brown Family 1-13-24xh well, 12 16N 13W and located about 6 miles northwest of Watonga was brought in by Continental Resources. Its official completion showed production of 1,443 Boed along with 9,729 Mcf of gas.

The well was spudded last November and drilling wrapped up in March 2018 while completion was made May 26, 2018.

Houston-based Newfield keeps bringing in the wells. Eight more were shown on the completion reports issued by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission on Wednesday. Five in Kingfisher county and three in Garvin County.

The largest in Kingfisher county saw production of more than 900 Boed. Two were again in the oil rich area between Watonga and Kingfisher and were multi well sites from the same pad at 27 17N 9W.

Three others were at the same pad at 34 17N 9W just a few miles from the two drilled at 27 17N 9W. All five were close to the Lomega High School.

Newfield also had three multi-well pad sites in Garvin County. The wells near Purdy were at 23 3N 4W and had production ranging from 490 to 713 Boed. The Texas company filed eleven completion reports earlier in the week in the STACK and SCOOP plays.
