Lower production in Newfield Energy’s latest STACK wells

Houston’s Newfield Exploration shows no letup in its aggressive exploration of Oklahoma’s STACK, as witnessed by the latest completion reports on file with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.

While the three wells were not major producers, they still were an indication how Newfield is using multi-well pad sites.

In the instance of the filing on Thursday, the Judy 1509 8h-17 had 3 wells on the same pad located at 17 15N 9W which is a site located about 5 miles south of State highway 33 and again, in the oil-rich zone between Kingfisher and Watonga.

Each of the wells were drilled in February with drilling finished in March and completion made in May. Production ranged from a low end of 93 Boed up to 506 Boed.
