Landowners speak out about wind farm fight with military bases in Oklahoma

What are landowners saying about the fight between state regulators and wind farm developers?

They’re talking about it as the state tries to stop one wind farm developer from going ahead with construction because it apparently interferes with the flight path of planes from Vance Air Force Base in Enid.

The McCarville Report had a story about it.

Property Owners Caught in Middle of Government, Wind Farm Developers

Property owners working with wind farm developers feel their rights are not being considered by regulators.

Recently, a company suspended building the wind farm west of Hinton until the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) can complete a mitigation plan.  The Oklahoma Strategic Military Planning Commission (OSMPC) wants the federal government to determine that wind projects have no impact on the military before they can move forward.

Mitchell Talks’ All of the Above Podcast has interviewed rural, private property owners affected by the fate of wind farms at the hands of regulators. Danny and Donna Wright told Mitchell Talks they feel their property rights are not being considered.
