Gasoline prices take an 8-cent plunge in Oklahoma

With national gasoline prices reaching an average of $2.85 a gallon, prices have fallen in Oklahoma to an average of $2.61, down 7 cents in the past week.

Oklahoma’s average is the same in Texas while prices are slightly higher in Kansas where the average is $2.67. Missouri’s down to $2.59 a gallon and the average in Arkansas is at $2.61.

Prices in Colorado continue to be much higher with an average of $2.92 while drivers in New Mexico face an average of $2.80 a gallon.

Prices in Oklahoma City have fallen, according to AAA Oklahoma to an average of $2.55 a gallon, a drop of 8 cents over the past week.

But GasBuddy says the Oklahoma City average as of Sunday was down to $2.47 a gallon and its average is based on a daily survey of 669 stations in the city. GasBuddy indicated the Oklahoma City average is 30 cents higher than a year ago and 15 cents more than one month ago.

Triple A has Tulsa’s average at $2.55, a drop of 9 cents over the past week but 33 cents higher than one year ago.

The highest prices in the state continue to be in the northwest where the average in Shattuck is up to $2.96 a gallon, same as in Taloga. Woodward’s average is at $2.85.
