While northern Oklahoma experienced two small earthquakes Sunday night, West Texas was shaken by a quake earlier in the day.
The U.S. Geological Survey recorded a 2.8 magnitude quake in a region approximately 70 miles west of Odessa, Texas.
The quake occurred at 6:14 a.m. and was nearly 3 miles deep. But there were no reports of injuries or damage.
The quake is in the Permian Basin.
