New SkyWest Airlines hangar dedicated in OKC

SkyWest Airlines has held a dedication ceremony in Oklahoma City formally opening a new maintenance hangar at Will Rogers World Airport.

The new 135,000 square foot hangar will be able to hold up to nine regional aircraft and support overnight maintenance for SkyWest’s four major airline partners. The partners are Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, American Airlines and Alaska Airlines.

SkyWest expects nearly 100 aviation professionals to work at the new facility. Company President and CEO Chip Childs was among those on hand for the morning ribbon-cutting ceremony. Oklahoma City leaders including Mayor David Holt and Airports Director Mark Kranenburg joined the ceremony.
