Continental Resources hits large wells in STACK and SCOOP

Completion reports released this week show Oklahoma City’s Continental Resources bringing in some large wells in the STACK and SCOOP plays.

A Blaine county well in the STACK produced 2,004 barrels of oil a day along with 9,579 Mcf of gas. The Lugene 1-33xh is located about 2 miles south of the junction of highways US 270 and State 33 or 4 miles east of the town of Fay. (33 16N 13W). It was actually drilled in December of 2017 and drilling finished in January with completion made June 21, 2018.

It proved to be the biggest of the wells reported this week by Continental Resources. The company had three wells in the SCOOP, all at the same site located 4 miles west of the town of Purdy (20 3N 4W).

Two wells, the Omer 2-20-17xhs brought in 1,019 barrels of oil each along with 1,202 Mcf of natural gas. They had spud dates in February and drilling finished in March with completion made in May. A third well at the site, the Omer 3-20-29xhs had production of 741 barrels of oil a day.
