Tank battery destroyed by lightning strike in northern Oklahoma

A lightning strike destroyed a tank battery made up of 8 tanks over the weekend near the small town of Carrier in Garfield county as thunderstorms moved across northern Oklahoma.

No injuries were reported but the fire sent a massive column of smoke into the air early Sunday morning, according to Mike Honigsberg Sr., Director of Emergency Management for Garfield County.
