Midstates Petroleum to release 2Q earnings Aug. 2

Midstates Petroleum Company, Inc. of Tula is planning to release its second quarter 2018 earnings report on Aug. 2.

The Thursday release will be made after the close of trading on the New York Stock Exchange.

Then company leaders will hold a conference call on Friday, Aug. 3 at 8 a.m. Central time to discuss the results.

In the first quarter 2018 results released in May, the company indicated it remained open to a merger with Oklahoma City’ls SandRidge Energy Inc. which had earlier rejected the proposal.

First quarter net income was $4 million or 15 cents a share after the company also made a $58 million sale of its Anadarko Basin producing properties.

It also reaffirmed its borrowing base at $170 million based solely on the firm’s Mississippian Lime assets. Its Mississippian Lime production grew to 19,235 barrels of oil equivalent a day.
