Echo Energy’s move to downtown OKC still 6 months away

Oklahoma City-based Echo Energy prepares to move 100 workers to the downtown business district as soon as it finishes the 10-story Parkside building it bought in May for nearly $11 million. But it’s still six months away.

The company anticipates making the move early in 2019 as work is still underway on the building that was originally built for SandRidge Energy but was never occupied by the company. Construction on the building started in 2012 and wasn’t finished until 2015 when SandRidge entered bankruptcy.

“Community is an important concept to Echo, and with relocating to downtown, we plan to invest and work alongside our downtown friends, partners and neighbors,” said CEO Christian Kanady as reported by The Oklahoman. “We are excited to work and come together in a building adjacent to one of downtown’s beautiful green spaces.”

Founded in 2010, Echo Energy has ownership of ore than 2,000 wells in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana.
