March turned out to be a record oil production month in Oklahoma as 16.8 million barrels of crude oil were pumped in the month.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration indicated the previous high on record was 16.4 million in January.
The record production goes hand-in-hand with the number of oil rigs in the state.
