Pruitt’s Still supported by President Trump

While the ethics issues mount up for EPA Chief Scott Pruitt, they apparently aren’t worrying his boss, President Donald Trump.

For the President praised Pruitt this week for the job he’s doing.

“EPA is doing really, really well,” said the President at the headquarters of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Pruitt was on hand when the President added, “Somebody has to say that about you a little bit, you know that, Scott.”

Obviously, that might have brought a smile and a sigh of relief to Pruitt, who must have wondered about his job standing with the president after story after story about his spending habits. More than a hundred members of Congress after all, have called for Pruitt to resign.

Congressional Democrats released a transcript of an interview with Pruitt’s close aide Millan Hupp in which she said Pruitt had asked her to do personal errands for him, including looking into the purchase of an old mattress from the Trump International Hotel.
