Shareholders have overwhelmingly approved a merger of Tallgrass Energy Partners, LLP and Tallgrass Energy GP, LP in Kansas City, firms that operate oil pipelines leading to Cushing, Oklahoma. It was a stock-for-unit merger transaction in which TallGrass Energy GP will acquire the nearly 47.6 million of Tallgrass Energy Partners common units held by the public. …

He might be considered the most widely known of anti-wind legislators in the Oklahoma House, but voters still gave Rep. Mark McBride of Moore his party’s nomination in Tuesday’s primary election. Chaparral Energy offers $300 million in unsecured notes

Oklahoma City-based Chaparral Energy announced it has priced $300 million in  unsecured notes due 2023. The company intends to use the proceeds from the 8.750% notes to pay down the outstanding balance of its revolving credit facility and for general corporate purposes.
