Verona Wells Keep Giving Big Production for Continental Resources in STACK

The latest completion reports on file at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission show Continental Resources continues with multi-pad operations in one site located in the STACK.

Of ten completion reports filed for Blaine County, 8 were by Continental Resources with 5 wells producing more than 1,000 barrels of oil a day.  All five were the continued product of the Verona wells which were spudded in 2016 and completed last year but reports were just filed. The largest, the Verona 4-23-14XH produced 1,905 barrels a day.

The Verona 2-2-23-14XH produced 1,512 while the Verona 5-23-14XH had production of 1,508 boed.  Other Verona wells had production of 1,098 and 1,043 barrels a day.

But Devon Energy had the largest producer reported in Blaine County. Its Coyote 3_10-16N-12W 3 HX had production of 2,418 barrels a day. The Coyote is located approximately 3 miles northwest of Watonga and had a spud date of September 2017. Drilling wrapped up in November and completion was made in February 2018.

Devon’s Sonoyta 23-26-17N-10W 2 HX well had production of 1,702 barrels a day. The well was drilled last fall and completion was in February 2018. It is located about 6 miles southeast of Hitchcock.

Marathon Oil came up with a well producing 1,952 barrels of oil a day in Kingfisher county. The Tan 1509 1-4-33MXH is located 14 miles southeast of Watonga. Its spud date was April of 2017. Drilling finished in July of that year and completion was made in December 2017.

The Tan was one of 13 wells completed in Kingfisher county. Eight were brought in by Oklahoma Energy Acquisitions.
