New and Expanded Gas Processing Plant in Southeast New Mexico

A new natural gas processing plant in Eddy County, New Mexico went into operation this week. San Mateo Midstream, LLC based in Dallas announced the completion and start-up of the expansion of the Black River cryogenic plant.

The expansion adds a capacity of 200 million cubic feet of natural gas per day to the previously existing capacity of 60 million cubic feet. The expanded Black River Processing Plant will support San Mateo’s anchor tenant, Matador Resources Company and offer more processing opportunities for efforts underway in the Delaware Basin.

The company says the expanded operation will be a better alternative than trucking products out of the basin. San Mateo Midstream is a strategic joint venture that is only 14 months old.
