Former Utility Worker Charged With Stealing from Customer’s Credit Card Accounts

Nearly two years after an Oklahoma City man used his credit card to make a utility bill payment, police have arrested a former OGE worker with credit card fraud.

Felony charges were filed this week in Oklahoma County District Court against Sang Thanh Le. He worked in the call center at OGE from the fall of 2015 until the summer of 2016.

Now Le stands accused of causing the loss of $1,580 for OGE. A police investigation began after a customer opened an account and used his credit card.  Two months later, the customer noted a $500 charge on his card that he had not authorized.

As an employee in the call center, police say Le had access to customer information including account numbers and credit card information.

Other transactions from cards were discovered by police including the $118 transfer from the account of a customer to Sang Le’s girlfriend.  A $500 transfer from another customer’s account was also made to the girlfriend.
