Annual Meeting for Continental Resources Set for May 17

Shareholders of Continental Resources Inc. in Oklahoma City got the alert this week that the annual meeting will be held May 17.

It has been set to be held on that Thursday at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel beginning at 10 a.m.

This week’s notification included proxy materials to be sent over the Internet, a move that started on Wednesday.

During the annual meeting, shareholders will elect two members to the Board of Directors to serve until 2021. The board consists of six directors and one of them, Jim Gallogly will resign effectively at the end of the annual meeting so he can become President of the University of Oklahoma.

Current president David Boren was a board member and received $27,214 in fees in the year ending Dec. 31, 2017. Gallogly had been paid $58,450 in cash along with stock, bringing his total annual awards and payments to $729,665.

Two board members, Mark Monroe and Lon McCain have been nominated for re-election. Monroe received $103,683 cash payments in 2017 while McCain got $97,375 cash.
