Oil Well Produces 1,500 Barrels a Day Near Blanchard

Months after hitting a well that produced nearly 1,500 barrels of oil a day in the SCOOP, Dallas-based Merit Energy filed a completion report with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.

The Larry 1H-22X, located at 27 8N 4W in McClain  County had production of 1,477 boe/d when it was tested Dec. 29, 2017. The well, located just southeast of the city of Blanchard and east of state highway 76 had a spud date in June of 2017. Drilling was finished in July and the completion was made Oct. 7, 2017.

The Woodford formation well was displayed in the most recent completion reports on OK Energy Today.

Merit, an independent formed in 1989, owns an interest in over 10,000 wells in 10 states throughout the United States with daily production of 67,000 BOEPD.  Its Oklahoma operations are headquartered in Lindsay.
