OU Energy Symposium to be Held March 15 in OKC

The 6th annual Energy Symposium sponsored by the University of Oklahoma will be held March 15 at the headquarters of SandRidge Energy in Oklahoma City.

Sponsored by OU and its Price College of Business Energy Institute, the theme of this year’s symposium is “The Future of Energy.”

Keynote speaker will be David Lawler, CEO of BP America. Several panel discussions will also be held focusing on the future role of alternative energy and related technologies and the future of hydrocarbons.

Other speakers and panelists include Andrew Bradford, the CEO of BTU Analytics, LLC and Paul Dabbar, the Under Secretary of Science at the U.S. Department of Energy.

Bryan Hannegan, the President and CEO of Holy Cross Energy and Mike Ming, GM of GE Global Research Oil and Gas Technology Center in Oklahoma City will also be panelists. So will J. Mike Stice, the Dean of the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy and OU.

Wind power and the growth in Oklahoma will be discussed by Eliano Russo, CEO of Enel X e-Industries.
