Still 2 more New Pipelines Planned to Move Oil Out of Permian Basin

The latest to join the list of pipeline companies seeking customers to move their crude oil out of the Permian Basin in Texas and New Mexico to the Gulf Coast refineries is Plains All American Pipeline, L.P.

The Houston-based company announced this week it has sufficient customer interest to conduct a binding open season for oil transportation from the Permian to the Corpus Christi and Ingleside area. Origin points will be Orla, Wink South, Midland, Crane and McCamey.

Plains All American said the oil will be transported through existing lines as well as two new pipelines. The first new line will extend from Wink South to McCamey,Texas. The second will run from McCamey to the Corpus Christi/Ingleside area. The pipelines could be operational in the third-quarter of 2019.
