American Trucking Associations Bestows Safety Awards to Groendyke Transport

Enid-based Groendyke Transport was named the recipient of two highly prestigious transportation safety awards at this year’s American Trucking Associations National Truck Safety Contest. Winners were recently announced during the ATA Safety, Security and HR National Conference in Memphis, Tennessee on Wednesday.

Groendyke placed second in the Tank Truck/Line-Haul Division for the over 10 million miles category.

Groendyke placed third in the Tank Truck/Local Division in the unlimited miles category.

In 2016, Groendyke won the Heil Trophy, a record seventh NTTC North American Safety Champion award. The Heil Trophy is awarded annually to the two companies with the nation’s best overall safety record and program. Groendyke won the Harvison Division (more than 15 million miles) for its outstanding safety performance in 2016.

Groendyke also added state fleet safety awards in Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona and Kansas, according to a company press release.
