Oilfield Prayer Breakfast Set for October 19 at Oklahoma City’s Tower Hotel

Oklahoma’s Oilfield Prayer Breakfast is set for October 19 at the Tower Hotel (formerly the Marriott Hotel) located at 3233 Northwest Expressway.

Richard Spears, managing director of Spears and Associates and a member of Christ Presbyterian Church of Tulsa, is the keynote speaker, according to a report by The Oklahoman. The event will conclude with a statewide prayer initiative.

Hosted by the Oilfield Christian Fellowship chapter of Oklahoma City, the breakfast is held annually to raise awareness about the state’s energy industry.

“People really need to see the power of God’s word in the oil patch,” said Reverend Tom Beddow of Ada, coordinator of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma’s Oil Patch Chaplains ministry. “When God is doing things, they seem like random events, but when you look back on it, it’s God’s perfect plan.”
