Continental and Newfield STACK It Up in Blaine and Kingfisher Counties

Two oil and gas companies are reporting further success in three oil and gas production wells from the STACK.

Completion reports published by OK Energy Today for October 10, 2017 reveal two more huge wells by Oklahoma City-based Continental Resources in the STACK territory of Blaine County. The first, identified as the Mowery, brought in a well producing 1,071 barrels of oil equivalent a day and 6,198 Mcf of gas from the Mississippian east of Greenfield and southeast of Watonga. Located south of East 880 Road and east of North 2620 Road and found at 36 15N 11W, the Mowery well has a spud date of October 26, 2016 with drilling finished in February of 2017 and completed two months later.

Continental also hit a second well in the Blaine County STACK, located at 26 17N 11W, located southwest of Hitchcock and northeast of Watonga. The Roth well produced 1,798 Boe a day with gas production totaling 3,990 Mcf from the Mississippian. The Roth well has a spud date of August 2, 2016 with drilling finished on September 6, 2016. This well had a completion date of December 30, 2016 and was recompleted on February 1, 2017.

Meanwhile, Newfield Exploration Mid-Con, Inc. reported on its Lucile well in Kingfisher County. This STACK well is located at 27 17N 8W. The Lucile produced 1,138 Boe and 1,535 Mcf of gas from the Mississippian. Located southeast of Loyal and northwest of Kingfisher, it had a spud date in October 13, 2016. Drilling finished in November and completion occurred in January of 2017.
