Viking Energy Expands Holdings in Kansas With Expanded Exploration in Mind

New York-based Viking Energy Group announced this week it acquired more working interests in oil and gas-related leases in Eastern Kansas.

Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Mid-Con Drilling of Kansas it acquired 980 acres of property. The leases produce oil from the Cherokee formation at a depth of about 850 feet.

Viking says they offer the “potential for several future drilling locations.” The independent exploration and production company owns oil and gas leases also in Missouri and Canada.
