Oil and Gas Expo Approaching in OKC

The annual Oklahoma Oil and Gas Expo is in nearly two weeks and sponsors say it will include more than 300 exhibitors at the State Fair Park in Oklahoma City. And the STACK and the SCOOP plays might create added interest.

Sponsored by Sustaining Oklahoma’s Energy Resources, part of the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board, the October 12 Expo is expected to draw an estimated 3,600 people.

The expo will bring together companies, ideas, innovations and people who will shape the future of the oil and natural gas industry according to Cory Durham at SOER.

“This was the best show for exhibitors and attendees in the oil and gas industry before we had two of the hottest plays just down the road,” said Durham. “And now we’ve got the SCOOP and the STACK rolling. People from all over the world are coming to get in on that.”

He said the two hot plays make it more interest for the Expo.

“We look forward to having anybody interested in getting in on those plays because this will be the spot to be on October 12th,” he added.

Emerging technology will be a key part of the Expo and presentations by exhibitors.

“We live in such an exciting industry and it’s always exciting to see what will be displayed,” said Durham.

The Oil and Gas Expo will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 3 p.m. at the Bennett Event center at the State Fair Park.

This year, the Expo will feature a golf tournament on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
