OCC’s Oil and Gas Institute to Be Held Friday

The 2017 Oil and Gas Institute by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission will be held Friday on the campus of Oklahoma City University.

This year’s event is titled “Expanding Horizons: The New Frontier of Oklahoma Conservation Law.” and will be held at OCU’s Meinders School of Business, 2501 North Blackwelder. It will start at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 4:30 p.m.

The Institute will cover several topics including recent developments in oil and gas law, the legislative and rulemaking processes and ethics.

“The conference offers attorneys, energy professionals and anyone interest the opportunity to keep up with advancements in technology and other significant changes impacting the industry,” said Corporation Commission Chairwoman Dana Murphy. “With all that’s happening right now, it’s no surprise that this year’s Institute is expected to be another sell-out.”

The Institute is sponsored by the OCC’s Energy & Natural Resources Law Section, the Oil and Gas Conservation Division, the Judicial & Legislative Services Division, and the Oklahoma Bar Association.
