“Judicial Watch has caught the Obama EPA red handed issuing a series of half-truths and deliberately misleading information—pure propaganda.”
The private group that is a watchdog over the federal government says it has documented proof that the Environmental Protection Agency under the Obama administration misled the public in claiming that its 2015 Clean Power Plan would prevent thousands of premature deaths by 2030.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton was blunt about what the documents actually showed.
“Judicial Watch has caught the Obama EPA red handed issuing a series of half-truths and deliberately misleading information—pure propaganda—-designed to deceive the American public into accepting its radical environmental agenda,” said Fitton in announcing the findings.
He said the documents show the Obama EPA could not demonstrate that carbon dioxide reductions would in fact reduce the number of premature deaths.
“It is no surprise it took a federal lawsuit to uncover this Obama deceit,” added Fitton. He said the Obama EPA used the misleading claims to force industry to reduce carbon output, forcing electricity producers to redesign factories so they would produce less fine particulate matter or soot.
