Lawsuits Mounting against EPA Chief Scott Pruitt

State lawsuits are mounting up against Scott Pruitt and his Environmental Protection Agency, maybe reminding him of the days when he was Oklahoma Attorney General doing the same thing against the Obama administration’s EPA.

As E and E reports, more than a dozen court challenges have been filed against the EPA since Pruitt took over as Administrator. Some of the attacks deal with the Clean Power Plan. There is also a lawsuit against the EPA’s water regulation.

Most have the suits have been filed by Democratic attorneys general who are focusing on climate change and what the Trump administration’s EPA is doing.

Washington State Democratic attorney general Bob Ferguson openly admits he and other Democrats are using the same playbook used by Pruitt when he filed suits against the EPA. But he believes Democrats are having more success than Pruitt did.
