Oklahoma’s Gasoline Price Average is 4th Lowest in the Country

Gasoline prices rose a few cents a gallon in Oklahoma in the past week, reaching a new level of $2.04 a gallon according to a weekly fuel price report from AAA Oklahoma.

But the state is still ranked in the top 10 states with the cheapest gasoline. Oklahoma has the 4th lowest average, behind South Carolina where the average is $1.99; Alabama at $2 and Mississippi at $2.01 a gallon.

“Oklahoma motorists saw slight increases over the last week, along with much of the rest of the nation, but we remain in the Top 10 of states with the least expensive gasoline nationwide,” said Mark Madeja, AAA Oklahoma spokesman. “The strong economy continues to lure drivers into road trip vacations.”

Wagoner has the lowest average in the state at $1.84 followed by Yukon and Okmulgee with averages of $1.93. The highest averages are in Marlow and Duncan at $2.15 while Woodward’s average is $2.14.

The average in Tulsa is $1.99 while the average in Oklahoma City is $2 a gallon.

The nationwide average is $2.28.
