The Oklahoma Corporation Commission issued two Notices of Proposed Emergency Rulemaking on Thursday amending the rules of practice and the oil and gas conservation rules. The changes are intended to conform the Commission’s rules with Senate Bill 867 – the Oklahoma Energy Jobs Act of 2017 – which becomes effective August 24, 2017.

The Oil and Gas Conservation Division will hold a technical conference at the Commission on August 8, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Comments to the proposed rule changes are requested by August 15, 2017. A public hearing on the emergency adoption of the rules will also be held on August 22, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. before the Commission en banc.
