Wildlife Conservation Program Reauthorized by US Senate

The U.S. Senate’s given unanimous approval to a measure called the Wildlife Innovation and Longevity Driver Act, a bill co-sponsored by Oklahoma U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe.

He’s a senior member of the Senate’s Environment and Public Works Committee and praised the US Fish and Wildlife Partners for fish and Wildlife program.

“This program, in tandem with efforts by private landowners and local stakeholders, has improved more 300,000 acres of wildlife habitat throughout Oklahoma.”

The Senate vote reauthorized the program which promotes wildlife conservation and helps protect endangered species. It had the support of World Wildlife Fund, National Wildlife Federation, Ducks Unlimited and the Family Farm Alliance.
