Senator Inhofe to Visit Airports in Oklahoma

Friday will be a busy day for Oklahoma U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe as he flies his twin-engine plane across the state.

At 11 a.m., he will be in Frederick to host a ribbon-cutting celebrating the completion of the resurfacing of the Frederick Municipal Airport runway. The senator worked with the U.S. Air Force to get funding for the resurfacing project.

Two hours later, the Senator will hold a news conference in Norman at the University of Oklahoma Westheimer Airport where he will discuss a bill he intends to introduce in the Senate in the coming weeks.

He calls it the FLIGHT Act of 2017 which standards for Forward Looking Investment in General Aviation, Hangars, and Tarmacs.

The Senator also intends to make flights to visit airports in Bristow and Wiley Post in Oklahoma City.
