Inhofe Stands With President in Pulling Out of Paris Climate Agreement

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe is defending the move by President Trump to pull out of the Paris Climate Accord.

It’s what he said Monday afternoon in an interview on MSNBC.

“If he didn’t do it, there would always be people out there, radicals, some of the far left groups, that would sue the United States, that would sue the President and I think it would be very destructive,” said Sen. Inhofe.

He said it’s clear that the withdrawal will not harm the environment in the U.S.

“We have abundant clean energy in this country that we were refusing to use. We need to develop our own resources. That’s what we have been doing in the past,” said the Senator in the interview.

Inhofe repeated the charge he had made previously that the Environmental Protection Agency under the Obama administration said it would be impossible to reduce CO2 emissions by 27 percent by the year 2025 as vowed by President Obama.

“Why wasn’t President Obama able to get anything through on climate change when he had the house and he had the Senate. Clearly, the American people did not support him.”
