Noble Foundation Creates New Name for Its Research Wing

A new name for the scientific research wing of the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation has been announced. After 71 years, it’s being changed to the Noble Research Institute.

Bill Buckner, president and CEO of the Noble Foundation made the announcement this week in Ardmore.

“The Noble Foundation is going to take a big-bold step forward. And this definitely connects the tremendous accomplishments of the Noble Foundation’s past to a future that is bright and filled with new opportunities,” said Buckner, according to the Daily Ardmoreite.

Buckner explained the private foundation will maintain the name of the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation. But the research wing will now be known as the Noble Research Institute.

The change will not mean any loss of employment for those working at either program and the grant and scholarship programs will stay the same.
