Pruitt “Eaten Alive” in Interview on Fox News?

Judging by the headlines, Sunday wasn’t a particularly good day for Scott Pruitt, now the Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

His appearance on Fox News with Chris Wallace didn’t turn out to be a good performance when it came to pollution and stripping the EPA of Obama-administration-created rules and regulations.

“Fox News’ Chris Wallace grills EPA chief Scott Pruitt on gutting Obama clean air regulations” declared the headline in The Week.

“Chris Wallace Skewers EPA Chief Scott Pruitt on Fox News Sunday,” opined the Huffington Post.

“Chris Wallace systematically destroys EPA head Scott Pruitt: Climate change is not ‘all a coincidence’,” shouted Raw Story.

“Chris Wallace Hammers EPA’s Scott Pruitt on Removing Pollution Restrictions” was the headline at Crooks and Liars.

Maybe the most poignant was on the conservative site, BreitBart.

“EPA’s Scott Pruitt Gets Eaten Alive by Fox.”

As James Delingpole wrote for Breitbart, “Not only was it an ugly and painful sight but it was also a very dispiriting one.

Here is the guy who was carefully selected to be in the vanguard of President Trump’s war on the Green Blob which, for decades, has been doing untold damage to liberty, the scientific method, and the economy.

And he can’t even answer a few basic and obvious questions about why the job he is doing is necessary, important, and right.”
