Oklahoma Sierra Club Hosts Two Statewide Satellite Marches on April 29

The Oklahoma Sierra Club is joining forces with dozens of organizations to hold two satellite rallies to the People’s Climate March on April 29 in Washington, D.C.

The People’s Climate March OKC will take place from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. The march will begin at Harkins Plaza in Bricktown and proceed to the Oklahoma River for a sacred American Indian Water Ceremony. Many groups will have tables with educational information. The rally will also feature a children’s activities area, live music and ecological speeches.

The People’s Climate March Tulsa will occur from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. The march will start at the Tulsa County Courthouse Plaza and continue to Centennial Park, where a spiritual water ceremony will be held. The Tulsa event will feature speakers on environmental topics and “open mic” opportunities.
