Congressman Mullin Still Unsure About Re-Election Bid

Whether Oklahoma U.S. Rep. Markwayne Mullin might seek a fourth term in the House is apparently up in the air. But as the Tulsa World reported this week, one thing is clear and that is Mullin has filed a Declaration of Candidacy with the Federal Election Commission.

But Mullin’s chief of staff Mike Stopp was quick to explain it was a routine filing and the reports of Mullin filing for re-election “are inaccurate.”

He said the congressman and his family have yet to make a decision whether he might seek re-election next year.

“Congressman Mullin and his family are continuing to pray about this important decision.”

Mullin serves on the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee. He is also a member of its Energy subcommittee, the Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection subcommittee and the Health subcommittee.
