Private Email for Government Business? Did Pruitt Do it?

email

Scott Pruitt might have some explaining to do. During his U.S. Senate Committee confirmation hearing, he testified he used only his official email address and government issued phone to conduct official business.

But that’s not what is indicated in the emails released last week in a lawsuit filed by the Center for Media and Democracy. Emails showed he also used a private account to conduct official business as reported by FOX 25 in Oklahoma City.

It would also be something for U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe to reconsider since he strongly endorsed Pruitt to run the EPA. But four years ago when the U.S. Senate investigated then EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, Inhofe was one of the Senate committee leaders who was critical of her use of a private email service to conduct government business. He signed a letter to acting EPA Administrator Bob Pereciasepe asking him to be transparent in the operations of the agency.
