Rep. Lucas Says Pruitt Will Undo “Silly” EPA Rules of Obama Administration

Oklahoma U.S. Rep. Frank Lucas says the two hours of testimony he watched Wednesday of Scott Pruitt’s EPA confirmation hearing were the best two hours he’s seen on TV in a long time.

He came away impressed with how Pruitt handled himself under what Lucas called “some vicious attacks by Democrats.”

“He’s clearly qualified to be the EPA chief,” said Lucas in an interview with OK Energy Today.

He also predicted that if and when Pruitt is confirmed, he will begin working immediately on reversing some of the “silly” rules created by the EPA under the Obama administration.

“But he won’t be able to turn things around on a dime,” added the Western Oklahoma Congressman. “It’ll be like Obamacare, you just can’t turn some things around right away.”

He said in order for Pruitt to undo some of the rules and regulations, he’ll have to get the necessary people in the EPA on board with his program.
