Quality Jobs Program Adds 566 New Jobs in State

Oklahoma’s Quality Jobs Program is creating nearly 570 new jobs at four companies enrolled in the program run through the State Department of Commerce.

Tulsa-based Summit ESP, LLC, a leading manufacturer of oil and gas field machinery equipment plans to add 148 workers with benefits totaling $3.1 million.

D and M Employee Leading, LLC of Oklahoma City,  considered a leader in the over the road industry will add 98 new jobs. The firm operates a fleet of over-the-road trucks throughout the U.S. and will get benefits totaling nearly $810,000.

The largest amount of benefits will go to Southwest Electric Co. in Oklahoma City, a firm adding 220 workers. It’s an expansion of its work in repairing and rebuilding electric motors and power management distribution equipment for industrial applications. Benefits will total $3.5 million.

The Tulsa base collection services business known as McCarthy, Burgess and Wolff, Inc. is creating 100 jobs with benefits  totaling $1.7 million.

 

The Oklahoma Quality Jobs Program allows qualifying establishments creating new quality jobs to receive an incentive to locate or expand in Oklahoma. Administered by Oklahoma Department of Commerce, the program provides quarterly cash payments of up to 5 percent of new taxable payroll directly to a qualifying company for up to 10 years.
