Chesapeake Energy Appoints Gloria Boyland to Board of Directors

Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Energy Corporation announced Friday that Gloria Boyland was appointed to the Board of Directors effective November 30, 2016. Boyland will serve as a member of the Audit Committee and stand for re-election at the 2017 annual meeting to be held on May 19, 2017, according to a company press release.

Boyland is currently Corporate Vice President, Operations and Service Support at FedEx Corporation where she has served since 2004. Previously, Boyland served in several various leadership and managerial positions at General Electric Company from 1992 to 2004 and served at AXA Financial from 1986 to 1992 as Assistant Counsel and Associate Counsel.

Boyland is a graduate of Eckerd College and holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pennsylvania as well as an MBA degree from Duke University. She is currently involved in several national and local organizations including the U.S. Quality Council for The Conference Board, American Society for Quality, Teach for America, National Black MBA Association, Memphis Brooks Museum of Art and the Mid-South Food Bank.

Kimberly K. Querrey has resigned from the Board of Directors due to other commitments.
