Two Earthquakes Rattle El Reno Residents on Tuesday Evening

Two small earthquakes were recorded within 11 minutes apart on Tuesday evening in Canadian County.

The United States Geological Survey reported a 3.2 magnitude earthquake occurred at 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1 south of Calumet. The quake’s epicenter was located about nine miles WNW of El Reno, 20 miles WNW of Yukon and 34 miles WNW of Oklahoma City.

A second earthquake measuring a magnitude of 3.3 was recorded at 7:21 p.m. Tuesday evening south near Calumet. The second quake’s epicenter was also located about nine miles WNW of El Reno, 20 miles WNW of Yukon and 34 miles WNW of Oklahoma City.

News9 reported that the earthquake was less than four miles deep.

No injuries were reported.
