How Trump’s Election Could Affect Energy Industry

Donald Trump’s election this week has observers of the nation’s energy industry speculating how the surprise win will play out on matters dealing with oil and gas, coal and even the EPA’s Clean Power Plan, as well as WOTUS.

Some are even suggesting climate change policies put into effect by President Obama in the past eight years, either by executive order or through the Environmental Protection Agency, could become a thing of the past, discarded into a trash pile of what some perceive as failed Obama policies.

Oklahoma is one of a few dozen states that challenged the EPA’s Clean Power Plan and observers wonder whether a D.C. Circuit court ruling will come down before Trump is inaugurated and if so, what might he do after such a ruling.

Politico’s Anthony Adragna reviewed how Trump’s election could affect several energy related issues.
